About Us
Northgate Community Services Trust is the community arm of Northcity Church and our primary way of connecting with our local community. We run Zion Hip Hop Dance Studio, Big Papa's Kitchen and Make Me New op shop, as well as community support, including free community meals every Wednesday. Our services are all aimed at loving and serving those in our community and valuing people's worth.

Northgate is the outreach arm of Northcity Church, providing practical support, connection and opportunities for people to explore faith in Christ.
Our programmes are made possible by an incredible team of volunteers, and we're alwasy looking for passionate people to join us. If you are interested in serving, we'd love to invite you to experience one of our programmes first as a member of the community. From there, we can have a conversation about your interest, strengths, and where you might best fit within a team.

Over the past year...

1,600 free Community Meals served

12 partnerships with other community organisations to pass on clothing and goods not able to be sold in the op shop

80+ hip-hop dancers per term, 21 benefitting from Zion Studios Academy - combining dance skills, health, wellbeing and personal development

Many individuals and whānau who benefited from support with caring and practical help, including food sustainability, relationship support, transport help, advocacy and friendship.

A fully stocked community pantry with goods provided by volunteers as well as nutritious home cooked dinners, frozen and ready for emergency meals
