Our programmes for seniors runs mostly on Friday mornings from 10am-12pm. When you attend one of our programmes you can also visit our cafe for a cup of tea or coffee and something to eat.


Women’s Exercise

A low-impact exercise class designed specifically for senior women. There is no need to register beforehand – just wear something comfortable and turn up! Take the class at your level and enjoy time socialising after the class.

Fridays, 10am – 10:45am during school terms

Men’s Exercise

There is lots of fun to be had when the blokes get together for some jokes and exercises! The classes are low-impact and are designed specifically for senior men. Just show up, have a coffee and a chat with the men beforehand and make sure you wear something comfortable.

Men’s Friendship Group

Come along to Men’s group on a Friday morning for some “blokey” chats with other men from the community. It all free, including the tea and coffee unless you wanted to pay for a cheap cheese roll or something sweet.

Foot Clinic

This is a very popular podiatry service for seniors and those with health issues. It runs fortnightly on Fridays with bookings from 9:30-12pm.

Adult Literacy

In collaboration with Hagley Community College literacy classes are run every Tuesdays and Thursdays for the development of conversational English.

If English isn’t your first language, come along for a free class series on everyday Kiwi culture and living in New Zealand.

Classes runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30am – 2:30pm
